Isn't that Kenny Chesney's house next to Spellbound? I could see parties being an issue.

Great photos, and it was so nice to meet you in person! I am starting the book you gave me tomorrow :D . BTW, the book I told you I had just started that I couldn't remember the name of: Sweet Tooth, Ian McEwen. It was pretty good. Hope to see you at the farmers market in the spring.

Thanks for sharing you trip.

We are Caneel-iacs (how is that for a made up word?). Finishing off a villa vacation at Caneel would be the best of both worlds for me. we honeymooned there almost 20 years ago and my husband says it ruined us forever. Glad to hear you loved it too!

I bought Casade for my first book for this weeks trip.

Liamsaunt, it was so lovely to finally meet you. AND I am an Ian McEwan devotee.. he's a master of prose.. I don't love all of his books equally but I do look forward to checking out Sweet Tooth. Right now I just finished Breakfast with Buddha and I'm onto Lunch with Buddha. I have long heard that Roland Merullo is wonderful, and I can attest to that.

I hope you enjoy Erika's book. Her next one, coming out in May, is about Zelda Fitzgerald after the party years.

And yes, it's the Chesney house. The pool has a full, covered party bar, a fancy slide, (too) many speakers--in short, all the fixings for midnight parties. :!:

PA Girl--I hope you have a wonderful trip, and thank you so much for reading my book. I hope it gives you a lot to think about. xo

I got an IPad for Christmas and got the Kindle version. I will need to force myself to save it for STJ.

Great trip report, thanks. I too love the Fatty Crab, can't wait to eat there again soon! Was just looking for a new book last night, so I've just downloaded Cascade - can't wait to read it!

O.K. I'll ask, what's the name of your book? I must have missed something here.

Your link is less expensive than my link - so I would say that's perfectly fine :-)
