ps - my husband is the listing agent

Pia! I'm so glad you mentioned that because we all said " wow, that realtor is a class act" very nice of your husband to leave us the champagne. It was no trouble at all...we were off snorkeling anyway. I am going to send you a private message too.
Thanks again!

We stayed at Sol last Feb...6 adults...loved it but I agree it was a bit far from town (plus we only had one car which was....well, it was stupid!). The views were to die for, the house lovely..we cooked in a lot so were out during the day and home most evenings. If you have kids, the pool might be too small, but for adults ....it was perfect....just perfect. The drive up is insane, but you get used to it after a few times. I posted a villa review that you might check out.

Thanks everyone. We have decided to go with Sol Inclination. We are always home by dark and I want to try a new location. The problem is this is 2014 . This year we are trying Grand Cayman with family who loves it there. I of course are wishing it was St John. The snorkeling there should keep me happy but It will not be our place like St John.

nancy,
was hoping to stay at sol before wife said "stj too hard to get there and back", but afraid won't make it. we love those high panoramic views (gifft hill, upper rockridge rd, bordeaux). know you will enjoy. i assume you rented through marc miller, a super nice guy and pleasure to deal with. he was growing mint a about 3 yrs ago and generously shared with us. fresh mint adds a nice touch to a lot of adult island beverages.
while gr cayman is not stj, you will not be disappointed in beaches and some on the better beach access snorkeling areas. my fav is out from and slightly to the south of the wharf restaurant just north of downtown. you need to go out a further than the typical stj shore snorkel but water's usually calm and coral heads enormous. best enjoyed if you free dive since water can be 30+ ft deep but heads top out in places less than 6 ft. also some pretty good stuff closer in to the north up to and around an old wreck that breaks the surface less than 50 ft from shore. that whole area is in front of the cruise ship moorings.
believe you will enjoy both trips.
