Hi Minde-

I can not believe you have never been past the gas station!

Well, I think there are some interesting things past there. I do like Hart Bay. Either trail (off Tamarind Rd or past by Poinciana) is good. It's rocky and has some good shells, lots of snails. There may be surfers. Definitely feels like a different island there. I've always wanted to go to Klein Bay beach which I think is less rocky.

The Westin can be fun. They have birds and iguana feedings. The property is kind of fun to explore (though we usually wind up at the playground and I doubt your daughter will enjoy that).

The views around Ditleff are great, but the road does get a little hairy around there with another switchback.

In Fish Bay there is a little Nature Hike right off the side of the road (on the left). They have native plants and I remember a jaw bone hanging in the tree.

I remember a post about a really old tree beyond Fish Bay, maybe someone can refresh my memory.

Anywhere you go, have a great time! Hope it's a blast!

Beyond the gas station is (besides the Westin) Rendevous point (beautiful view when you see it with the sunset behind the point headed back to Cruz Bay), Fish Bay, Reef Bay (great hike along Reef all the way to the bottom of the Reef Bay Trail) and Cocolobo Point

There is parking for 2.5 cars at Klein Bay beach. It is a rock beach.

Towards the end of your trip once you have the confidence try out John Head Road (if you can call it a road). It goes from Centerline to North Shore. You can check out the Catherineburg ruins as soon as you turn down the road.
