http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pearly-eyed_Thrasher I hate these birds, stole bacon off my plate at JJ's a few years back. :x On the other hand, love the Sugerbirds and Hummingbirds. I painted a house up above Mongoose Junction a couple of years back where I would put out suger and water out every morning. after the first two days they would be waiting for me. :D

P600......... "no rodents"..... hahahahahaha - just wait :)

Regardless of how spotless your house/yard etc trust me they are around (they are everywhere no exceptions even the nicest of the nice) and sooner or later you will see evidence (unfortunately) Now I'm not saying the are there every night laying in wait but they do have their moments - you should hear the stories (lol) one example my friend who built a $5+ million dollar villa and had kept his new furniture/decorating items etc in a shipping container ready to be set up in the new villa - first morning after spending the night in his new villa he went to make coffee and opened the lid of his extremely nice new coffee pot to pour in the coffee beans and guess who was in there to greet him !!!!!
Another favorite place is inside a BBQ grill - more stories than I can count of villa owners/guests opening the lid of the grill to see a "friendly" face :)

I thought the same but, couldn't bring myself to say it. had a friend move out of his very nice Fish Bay apartment because rats had eaten through the wooden walls. BBQ grill, been there, seen that.

I also had the rat in the grill experience! One very nice house we rented had a rat that would emerge from the grill every evening at 8:30 PM on the dot. We always made sure the sliders to the house were closed up by 8PM to prevent it from going inside. I don't remember if we actually used the grill that trip or not...probably not! :D

Changing to a more pleasant subject, this is one of my favorite bananquit photos. It was only meant to be a cocktail photo, but I had a visitor right after putting the drinks down close to the sugar dish we had on the railing.

Same trip. Notice the interloper in the back!

I honestly haven't seen any! We walk along the gut almost everyday, at all times of day and I have yet to see even a mongoose. Just deer, dogs and lots of crabs.
