The ugly cold front headed your way that moved through the midwest earlier this week will certainly not mix well with the likes of Sandy. Stay safe forum friends.

Prayers for all of you in Sandy's path. I would've thought it was too cold up there right now for a tropical storm or hurricane. Shows what I know!

North Wildwood, NJ is flooded really bad. The ocean has breached the sand and sea wall. The very popular eating district on Old New Jersey Ave. is really bad. The back water bay is already flooding and the ocean will meet the bay.

Most likely each of us has some connection to those facing "Sandy". My thoughts and prayers are that all stay safe and that losses are minimal.

Secured the shack in Rehoboth Saturday and buttoned up mom's place in Lewes. Watched the Sea Witch Parade and partied until the wee hours. Rolled out Sunday at noon. Glad I did.
loverotties - is your place on Lewes Beach? Pics in the Cape Gazette show significant flooding. Hope all is safe.

Sandy hasn't gotten to Connecticut yet, but the Sound looks pretty angry...

Rehoboth, Lewes, Dewey Beach in Delaware are right in the eye of this hurricane, route 1 has been closed because the ocean met the bay, yikes!!

Thank goodness for us we are not right on the beach we are bayside . There is plenty of flooding in our marina in West Bay you can't even tell it's a marina . We have friends that are weathering the storm in Longneck they are stuck now in Leasure Point due to flooding . Most of rt.1 is closed due to flooding . So sad . . .
In Lititz PA. we are having horrible wind gusts & it's raining sidways . I fear our power is going to go out & many trees down. Stay safe East Coasters !

We lost power in Montco, PA an hour ago. Howling winds and rain. Today is my son's birthday. Last year, 8" of snow. This year, a hurricane. Really?

Finally got our electric back on. Thanks to the crew from Chicago!
Seriously, the NJ coast will never survive anything more than a cat 1.

This MN heart goes out to you all. Pictures and video look devastating. Some areas look like a war zone.
So sorry to all those forum friends affected.

I had started a thread in the off topic forum - our town is completely devastated:
