Your trip and mine overlapped, I'm sorry you had to put down your beloved Spartacus, the strangest thing is that I had to also put down my beloved 12yr. old cattle dog 2 days before I left for STJ. She was a special needs dog, she was blind, she was diabetic requiring insulin twice a day and she also had cushings disease. The day before I put her down we found out that she also had lymph sarcoma which made by decision a little easier to make. I picked up her ashes the day we were leaving for STJ and put some of the ashes in a silver heart locket and took it with me to STJ.
On a brighter note, I traveled this time with 2 newbies for a girls week and we had a great time. We hiked Lindt Point trail, visited the Annenberg Ruins, did the short walk up Peace Hill, hiked out to Leinster and done the walk from Salt Pond Bay over to Drunk Bay. Beaches we went to were, Solomon (sp?) and Honeymoon, Cinnamon Bay, Maho and Francis, and Salt Pond Bay. We concluded our favorite beach of the week was Honeymoon, it was empty and the snorkeling was pretty good to the right, we also saw turtles at Maho and Francis along with a ray at Leinster, I'm not sure what kind he was, he was black on top and very light on the bottom, pretty big, he was about 4 ft. across.
This trip we stayed on Gifft Hill at "Plumeria" it is a lovely villa with to die for views. The mosquitos were quite bad this time, but they found my friends a little tastier than me

. In the middle of the week we went over to Jost via the inter island ferry (70.00 RT), Great Harbour was a ghost town due to off season, we took a cab over to White Bay and hung out at Soggy Dollar the entire day and had a great time as usual. We only ate out 4 times and it was for a late happy hour, twice at the "Beach Bar", once at Sun Dog Cafe and once at Woodys. All I have are memories now of this trip and I'm trying to figure out how to get back ASAP!! Cheers!
