Also worth mentioning is the old stone bridge and other cool ruins around Annaberg, as well as the America Hill ruins between Cinnamon and Maho.

If you haven't yet downloaded a copy of Trail Bandit's great map and hiking trail guide, by all means do so; it shows the locations of many ruins:

Also, he sells folded, waterproof copies on his web site: http://www.trailbandit.org/store.

I framed and hung the rolled up version, and give each of our guests a copy of the folded map.

St. John has a lot to see that most visitors never encounter. Enjoy!

Drive up Cocoloba and at a sharp turn to the right, you'll see an orange barrel (whoa, flashback!). The trail heads up from the corner and follows an old road (#20 on the Trail Bandit map). The road is remarkable because it's built on the side of the hill and is supported by stone embankments. At the top of the trail is a huge Kapok tree. A bit further and you come upon the Seiben ruins.

The ruins at Brown Bay - if you are standing on the beach looking at the water you go all the way to the left - very easy to find :)
