Re: Private taxi from STT to Red Hook Ferry

We used Rachel this year and she is a pleasant lady and had a very comfortable vehicle. We used her both from STT airport to Red Hook and again on the way back. On our way to Red Hook, she made a stop to pick up a relative to give him a ride somewhere. We had had plenty of time to make the next ferry, so we didn't mind the extra few minutes. On our way back, she met us at Red Hook and there was another couple on our same ferry who had arranged for a ride. So there were 4 of us in the taxi, but not crowded at all.
We like to use the private taxi because my hubby can get motion sickness on those STT roads, and likes to sit up front. Front seat not guaranteed with the other taxi drivers with many passengers.
What kind of boat is the Dohm's water taxi? Is it a ferry style boat and how big? On the island of Nevis, we took a "private water taxi" back to St Kitts, but it was a small, open powerboat. We and our luggage were soaked by the time we arrived. Not fun to be damp with salt water for long flights back home.
Thanks for any info.
