I recommend spending some time exploring this site -

Very wide range of experiences and plenty to learn about.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and insights, every bit of information gathered is very much appreciated!
ExitZero - thanks for the link...it is saved into my Bookmarks and I will get to reading!
I am already stressing out on what to do with all of our stuff once we retire. Not worried about furniture, that can be stored &/or sold. But memories, pictures, etc....how does one go through that and decid what is a keeper and what is not? How can I throw away part of our life?
Happy Thursday!!

Oh boy, just what I need, more blogs to read!
My grandparents kept sailboat (of various sizes) over the years so the bug is still there for me, I love reading about it.
My step-bro and his wife will be living on a sailboat in the USVIs within the next couple of years. Their plan is to do it until they get sick of it or want a different adventure. They already have a large-ish boat that they spend extended periods of time on.
Coden - she started getting rid of stuff a couple of years ago and says it is still a work in process.

I could live on THAT boat, shoemak38! But I don't know if I could live on a regular boat. Coden, it's really hard to get rid of stuff... I've been doing it for about 3 years and I STILL have too much! Best of luck on this venture!
