If you want more than just a spectacular dessert at your villa, call Ted's Supper Club. We had him in for an evening last November, and it was the best meal we've had in St. John (and we've had MANY fabulous meals there). He's gracious, entertaining, and a superb chef. Every course of our meal was exceptional, and the dessert was to die for. I can't recommend this experience enough. There's something really special about being able to relax in your beautiful villa and enjoy a 5-star meal. Next year, we'll be on St. John for my 50th, and we're already planning on hiring Ted for that night - plus one more. It's well worth it.

Love it 54b "...the coconut crack bar from Deli Groto. It's so ridiculously crazy delicious, when you eat it, you can actually hear yourself getting fatter."

It's a good thing I have supplements that help me keep the weight off or I would be in real trouble because the Coconut Crack Bars will be a "must have" treat during our visit! :D

Dessert for 12 ~ I am thinking about going with 2 and if there are any leftovers, I am sure they won't go to waste! I think Pia's favorite cake sounds like a sure thing and for a second one either Xislandgirl's suggestion of cake with Strawberries or Nic in KC's suggestion of Key Lime Pie!

Thanks everyone! I appreciate all the replies and will give Baked in the Sun a call to see about ordering!

Can't wait to be on Island Time! 8)

We had a slice of bushwacker cheesecake from Shipwreck Landing. It was fantastic. We ordered the slice to go. Sounds like you need a full size cake though.

momto3boys ~ Shipwreck Landing was our favorite place to eat our first visit in 2010 and we are already planning on going there at least twice this visit. :) We remember their Key Lime Pie, but will have to give the Bushwacker Cheesecake a try!

Thanks and "Hi" from a fellow Missourian!

Enjoy your trip. We are in the KC area as well!

For the life of me I cannot remember the name of the place, but it was recommended by the bartender at Cafe Roma (only because they were out of desserts the night we were there). There is a pizza place in the next block (close to the lumberyard), I think it's called Ron's Place (??) but they make the most awesome Brownies!! They are to die for. I sure hope they are still there by the time I make it back down.

Soooo glad this post was still here! I have to go order a couple of cakes from Baked in the Sun today and couldn't remember how to describe Pia's favorite cake, which was a BIG hit with Everyone in our family! :)
We are celebrating our son turning 16 and my husband the Big 50 this year! :)

OHH mango whipped cream sounds heavenly . Is baked in the sun in Cruz Bay ? This sounds perfect for celebrating in St. John .[/quote]

Basically across the street and to the left if you are coming out the ACC's parking lot ( I know you know where that is!) after Amore Center. :D
