Back to the original topic. Working on a tan is a priority before the trip for me. Outside now doing just that.

Trying to narrow down list of restaurants. I have more than we have time for. And money

It's still snowing here. I'll be using the self tanning lotion before my trip.

Planning for me is also half the fun of the trip and I have been doing it since October.

Well, we have 39 days to go until we arrive in paradise. I need to make a list of things we need to buy to take with us. We've decided to check one bag since this is our first on island stay and I'm sure I'll want to bring some new things home :D

I'm working on the tanning thing, too. Just had my third squamos cell skin cancer removed, so I'm done with the sun. I failed at the "real" fake tanning cream, and am using Jergen's now. It still stinks like heck but it's a much more gradual color change. I think it's going to work.
And we're starting shopping and packing...

Getting closer than I thought on our June trip. Just booked our day sail to Jost this last week. Everything pretty much set...still have to make the final villa payment, but that's it. We've always done carry-on, but I thought about checking our snorkel gear (4 sets) and then realized only a 40 minute connection in MIA. Any thoughts on that? It will help guarantee we make the flight since our bag is checked through, but also greater chance of bag missing the connection.

13 days here! I have never been in April but am very excited as usual!!!
I hsve started the packing process. I was trying to tan when we had 80 degree weather but now we are in the 40's.
And I am already planning the June/July trip and thinking of when the next one will be past that.

Knock on wood...we have never had any problem with a bag or us not making it..had one over weight once...and we always check 1 bag..fins,snacks and of course sunscreen and bug spray...toiletries..etc

I'll be right on your heels the next week.

Mailing our box tomorrow.

Still have to make copies of passports, copy of credit cards, copy of car insurance card.

Confirm ride to airport and confirm rental vehicle.

Double, triple, quadruple check flight times.

Make sure all our stuff fits in carry ons.

Make sure I have enough cat food for our pet sitter and get our food ready for travel day.

Feels like a dream!

ya'll are making me jealous with the trips within a month!!!!

haven't thought about making copies of credit cards....

Mindehankins: sorry to hear about your skin cancer...guess my idea of getting base tan outside might not be a good idea after all...I have used the Jergens in the winter months...it works pretty good.

we have been blessed with eighty degree weather for about three weeks...think we missed Spring and went directly to Summer...I can't imagine having snow now....

I have to wait a little bit longer than ya'll, but reading this makes me happy. Heck, I'm already checking out villas for our trip next Feb! I always try to be in constant planning mode ;-)

A 40 minute turn in MIA usually means carry on for us. We have also shipped boxes and that works great- love Connections! I try really hard to pull 1/2 my stuff back out after I pack- I never need it. Have yet to wear everything I bring, but always need some space to bring new treasures back (last trip we brought back a dog from the ACC- but she had her own carrier).

A few weeks out definitely means constant SpiceCam visits, and last ditch dieting- almost always a failed attempt ;-) . And I love Jergens!
