I think I remember seeing a picture of a ping pong table in one of the villa pictures.
Anyone remember/know the villa?

Ok- this is crazy! I am a very simple gal from Maine who is traveling to St.John with no expectations other than to enjoy the island and create wonderful memories with my family. I have no use for personal attendant to pamper me when the sun block needs reapplying or to fan me when the hot Caribbean sun gets too steamy. Requesting a ping-pong table was a funny yet serious request and to my surprise, I have received news one could be available from a nearby villa. Will I pout and shout if I don't have one-absolutely not. I feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to travel to the most beautiful place on earth and to embrace all that St.John has to offer. I never use and abuse the furniture within the villas for I treat the villas as my own when I'm staying in them. I am the one who is known for cleaning the villa daily so that any incoming weekly housekeeping won't have to work as hard- I also don't feel I should have others clean up after myself and my family members. I am not planning on ruining tabletops with the use of a portable ping pong set-I just thought it was nice for a forum member to chime in with something positive and I actually think the portable set would make a fun gift for my oldest step-son when he goes off to college. There you have it....I hope this explains to all of you that "seabee76" is actually a decent human being with a big heart.

The new owners of Coconuts have made significant upgrades. We spent our honeymoon there and will definitely put it on our list for a repeat visit.

Thanks for the villa requests! We have booked Vista Caribe. Previously, we have stayed at Soul Island and Sea Forever ( after staying at the Westin a couple of times).

Thanks you LazyLane for jogging my memory- Soul Island was the one I remembered. It was a contender during our search.

When I mentioned ping pong to our traveling friends- they reminded me that the Sugar Bay Resort has one.
If anyone here goes to STT !!!
We can lounge and enjoy beverages while the boys play !!

Wow, Seabee76 didn't mean to offend you!!! We have cabin rentals and I see all kinds of damage and weird things that people do so when I saw that post about a portable tabletop ping pong, my mind immediately thought of the villa owner, NOT YOU!!! I don't know you and I even posted some villas WITH ping pong tables so I hope you play ping pong everyday of your vacation!!! Enjoy!

diverting the topic here...what the heck is wrong with that Coconuts house? It doesn't look like it costs nearly enough for what you appear to get.
The outdoor kitchen made me a little moist. And, a pool table? That's an odd thing to put outdoors, but our ever-bored child would like it

SHHHHH!

.
Some folks might not like the 3 separate pod set up, two bedrooms in one pod, the dinning room, living room in another with a loft bedroom and the indoor kitchen pod. Only the bedroom pod has AC. We were there in August and rarely set foot in the LR/DR, but it was quite warmIf you like outdoor living, which we do, its great.

My vote would be for "thong beer pong".
Use the thong as a type of sling-shot,then just play beer-pong with whatever "house rules" may apply.
Everybody wins...

I live here and when I saw your request I thought, I wish I had a ping pong table.
Elvis Presley's cousin was vacationing on St John some years ago and decided he
wanted air-condoitioning. As he owned an appliance store that sold portable air-
conditioners he had 2 sent down to him. He then sold them to locals when he left.
Have you considered sending a ping pong table down? walmart.com ships tons of
stuff here for really reasonable rates. You could donate it to our local youth club -
down near the fire station in Cruz Bay - when you left, if the cost of getting it here wasn't too bad.
You may also want to see in K-Mart on STT has a ping pong table you could pick up. -c

Estate Fortsberg in Coral Bay has a pingpong table on their outside lower deck. It was great for our kids and the owners were smart to put it in a location away from the pool and main living area. The kids had their space and we had ours!!

Yes, I would agree, that pod separation does not sound good to me. I don't even like when the bedroom is separate, but for the living room/dining room to be separate from the kitchen? That's just a pain in the butt.
