a couple of the questions answered that Steve missed-

PA girl-yes the parking lot is done but we never used it- our favorite little spot was always vacant so we just
scooted in there!

Lex-the flatworm was gorgeous. He was about 5-6 inches long and one of the coolest things I ever saw! Steve said it reminded him of the magic carpet in the movie Aladdin and I said I thought it was what I perceived it might be to be on LSD since I had never used it!!! The way it moved and colors it really engaged all your senses (what do I know!!! )

Augie- I am just now catching up on your reports- such amazing pics! I skipped snorkeling this trip (hubby is not a snorkeler), and now looking at your pics I am sad I missed out! But I am living vicariously through ya'll. Very cool encounters so far- can't wait to read more as I get my above water TR ready ;-)

Augie, seriously, you should enter a picture of that flat worm in some kind of contest. It's amazing and so rare.

May be able to finance your next trip to St. John.

wow, I've been snorkeling 25 some years and never have I seen that flat worm. Utterly beautiful--you made my week, in fact your made my month! (if not longer!).

Here I thought the only thing I hadn't seen underwater was a seahorse but nope, something I didn't even know existed and I hadn't ever seen it.

Thank you, thank you!

Y'all take AMAZING pictures! I'm in agreement with everyone - enter the flatworm pix into a contest! Should be a shoo-in! Very much enjoying your trip report! Thanks for taking the time to do them!

I have looked at your pics a dozen times. Thanks for sharing. I have an underwater camera but have been having difficulty with it at times recently. I don't want to risk a trip without a functioning camera. So I am seriously considering one of the two you mentioned - the canon or olympus. Tell me your thoughts on both-is one easier to use? does one take better pics? how do videos turn out? Any words of wisdom would be appreciated as it is so hard to make a choice just by looking online. Thanks

Great trip report and pic's. Can you tell me some more about this rash guard with thermal protection? Who makes it and where do I get one? We have gone 4 times, always Jan/Feb. This year I was Really cold in the water. Some days I just couldn't make myself go snorkeling, it was too cold.
