Enjoying this thread
Can always watch the Shawshank Redemption when I catch it while channel surfing.
Hangover-haven't laughed that hard in a while.
Godfather I and II, thought III was a waste.
I liked Wall E a lot.
Castaway for the ability of Tom Hanks to carry a film.
I too like the old Thin Man movies.
I know there's others that I can watch over and over, but my mind is blank!

The movies that I can watch over and over and OVER again are Monty Python Search for the Holy Grail, and Les Miserables with Liam Neeson. I've laughed through Hangover quite a few times, too. The original. The remake wasn't nearly as funny....

If you like the
Hangover, you should try
Couples Retreat. It's not as good, but we've watched a few times and stil find it funny.
Loved
Fearless. Great, great movie.
Husband is a freak about the Godfather. Even though he's Irish/Fresh, he can recite just about any line in the movies.

Me? Not interested at all.
Blood Diamond was another one.
They only thing that I love about the winter is we watch ALOT of movies at home.

Castaway is just "that" movie that I can't pull myself away from. Of course, I'm a Tom Hanks freak, so he can't do anything wrong.
I'm not a big animated movie buff, but Over the Hedge is pretty good.

Connie, if you're looking for an "almost unknown comedy," try Ruggles of Red Gap. 1935 with Charles Laughton. He gives a terrific performance and you will laugh.
Although not a comedy, another classic which I adore is Notorious with Ingrid Bergman and Cary Grant. Such splendid acting.

New movie just out “The Descendants” starring George Clooney is getting great reviews.
It is directed by Alexander Payne who is also responsible for these excellent older films:
>> Sideways
>> About Schmidt
>> Election

I can watch WE WERE SOLDIERS any time it's on
Being an Army brat in the 60s I understand the scene where the Col.'s wife has to notify the other women that their husbands had died (and yes my eyes get moisture in them)

Saving Grace was a pleasant surprise. I streamed it on Netflix and really enjoyed it and as a result started watching the British TV series Doc Martin from Netflix as well cuz Netflix said if I liked Saving Grace, I'd like Doc Martin. I loved them both and highly recommend at least watching Saving Grace.
