Pia, are you going to get your hurricane windows installed in time?

No they have not been ordered yet !!!! The windows are here but they are not hurricane windows we are ordering hurricane shutters (as you know from the blog) but they have not yet been ordered as we still are deciding between the manual (peni$ :) ) type or having electric motors. We have ordered the hurricane doors but they have a 3-4 week lead time and then they need to be delivered via Tropical - wish us luck.

It needs to go Southwest towards Texas - they need the rain in the worse way. :)

Here's to hoping it misses the VI, heads up the western Atlantic, and gives us some waves in New England!

This is potentially looking more and more serious for the region - many of the model tracks have it pretty close to the VI in general. It is slow forming though and still quite a mess, so that is perhaps good news on the wind, but it appears it will be dumping a lot of rain wherever it ends up meandering.

The navy has another good page as a resource:

Looks like we are going to have some rainy days!! We have always been so lucky to have pretty weather on our trips but this one may be a bit different! Guess we all need to stock up on lots of rum!!

I won't mind the rain as much when I am on island. Of course I'd rather have sun. Just don't want the storm to strand me in some airport.

We'll be at Charlotte...what is there to do there and which hotel should we get a hotel at? Not that we are going to need to do this!!!
