Embrace the power of your obsession. Feel the pork, the garlic, thyme, kosher salt and olive oil calling you.
My fun today was reducing a bottle of wine and a pint of chicken stock to a sauce. My kids think all the Dads cook like this.

My dad grills and makes the best popcorn on Earth. There is no sauce making to be had.

I had babyback ribs - marinated them in mojo overnight, then rubbed them first thing this morning and again about an hour before they went on the water smoker.
Then I finished them on the grill and basted them with bbq sauce, and enjoyed them with some corn on the cob and oven roasted garlic potatoes.
Didn't think about the camera until I was halfway through the dishes...

In my house it is the guys that does the cooking. I get distracted and forget I am cooking and pots burn up! It is just safer if he does the cooking! He really likes it too so it is a win win situation!
He on the other hand can ruin the laundry faster than I can ruin a pot so I do that chore!

My son and I cook in our house. The other 2 don't have a clue, but they clean the bathrooms and do the dishes so that's a deal!

As an Ohio expat in Texas, I have Gold Star chili shipped in by the case! I'll have to have a five way tonight!

It's miserable here today so I am roasting a chicken. At least I didn't have work today! (Partiots Day holiday for you non-MA folks)
