Cruzan Guava rum with Diet Sprite.
For a strong drink, one shot of pineapple, mango, guava, banana, and orange on ice topped with a splash of grenadine for color (rum punch).

Sea-nile...is it one shot
each of pineapple, mango, guava, banana, and orange rums?
If so, I think I'll be dancing on the bar!

That sounds great. What is the taste difference between seltzer and tonic? I drink gin & tonics w/a twist of lime, but I've never at seltzer before.

Seltzer is just carbonated water. Tonic is carbonated water with a touch of quinine in it. The quinine gives tonic that distinctive bitter taste. It was considered a preventative to malaria which gives you a good idea what the origin of the gin and tonic was.

Thnx Bill - I'll give seltzer a try. I knew that tonic had quinine in it, I kind of like that flavor. I've tried club soda, never really cared for it. Do you know the difference between it and seltzer?

Seltzer and club soda are supposedly the same thing. If pressed I would say that I prefer the taste of what is called seltzer over what is called club soda or soda. Technically I know of no difference between the two or for that matter spring water. Perhaps it is the quality of the water?
No. I just googled this. Apparently club soda is seltzer with mineral salts added to dull the sharpness of the effervescence. Both are created by adding carbon dioxide under pressure to water. Sparkling water is water with naturally occurring effervescence. Now we all know more than we ever wanted to know about this topic.

BillVT - thanks for the 101 in Seltzer, soda, et al. I for one really appreciate it.
I'll try the Seltzer - it sounds better than soda w/ added salts - mineral or not, just don't need added salt.

Two news faves that I discovered on our trip:
- Black cherry rum, pineapple juice and ginger ale
- coconut rum, coconut water and fresh lime juice

On island:
Ting plus Cruzan Citrus flavor over ice, plus splash of cranberry juice and lime wedge squeezed in.
At home:
Trader Joe Pomegranate Limeade mixed with Cruzan Citrus flavor rum and generous splash of Triple Sec over ice, squeeze lime wedge in = a nice sweet/tart taste = a mighty fine Rum Punch.
