Hang in there everyone, it looks like it's a doozy! Hubby was headed to Chicago, but had to cancel. We've had way more snow here than normal this year, but it looks like this one is just going to be rain for us.
.....thinking of you all up north!

I live in Jenison, Michigan and we got 1st place for snow fall over night....19 plus inches. Thankfully it has stopped snowing. I have never before seen all the schools and businesses around us closed. Even all the state and federal buildings are closed. Man, I keep looking at the Web Cams and dreaming of being on STT. Hope everyone affected by this blizzard is safe and warm today.

Finally stopped snowing about 10 minutes ago, 9 inches here in Howell MI dt. Not as bad as the forecasters predicted but plenty enough. Heading out now for the 2+ hours of cleaning it up.
I'll be thinking about Ruth and Capt John's video and pretend that it's sand blowing down my jacket.
73 hours til Ferry Landing on St John. Then this will be a distant bad memory.

Hi mricco...we are in Midland and are former 'yoopers'! We got about 13" of snow and schools are closed today and tomorrow. We tried to cross country ski, which we do pretty much every day to survive winter, but there was TOO MUCH snow...lol! At least the sun is back out but the wind is fierce.
