My hook bracelet is from Caravan Jewelers. After all the times I have had to unhook it to go through airport security it's a little warped and the jhook doesn't sit properly.

Coral Bay Jewelers has some very nice designs. John bought me the Salt Pond Bay bracelet on our first trip in 2003. It finally broke a couple of months ago--the whole piece that holds the bracelet together broke off. I am going to bring it down next trip to see if it can be repaired. If not, I want John to buy me the Leinster Bay one to replace it.

Caravan. We have had ours for years(wear them year round) and they have held up great. Coral Bay by JJ's is a favorite shop also.

If you're looking for originals, Sonya's for the original hook bracelet, and Caravan for the original J hook (that's where KC got his...)

I bought mine at Caravan Jewelers too. I love it and have been wearing it every day since June, I don't take it off.

I bought mine on Thursday from Ingrid at Palm Jewelers. I looked at every store in Cruz Bay and liked that one the best. Ingrid was so nice and helpful.

Yesterday, I'm sitting in the lunch room at my office here in Vancouver and I noticed that the temp we have working for us has on two hook bracelets. Right then and there a conversation starter. One was your typical J-hook (bought on St. John no less); the other one was very unique. It almost looked like a "C-shell" (can't really describe it). I thought it may have come from St. Croix but she said it was from St. John.

She was working on a boat for 7 months based off of Tortolla (until she got "deported" (not technically but she was asked to leave for overstaying her welcome) -- yah the Islands make you want to find a way to stay even though you're not legal).

Sonya's is in Christiansted, St. Croix. I bought my first hook bracelet from her and she said , yes, hers is the original, We went back a few years ago, and I upgraded my hook and it only cost me the difference. Great deal.

If you have a chance to visit St. Croix, please do it. It really is a wonderful place!

R & I Patton in Mongoose is the only place on STJ that carries Sonya's original hook bracelet.

We both have hooks, and Mrs Random has the Hurricane Omar bracelet. There's elegance, simplicity, and beauty in her work.

Oh yeah, never wear silver while working with bleach or swimming in a chlorine environment.

You can find them in town for many differnt prices ranges.
How much do you want to spend? We will send you to the right place...although I think Coral Bay Jewelers in the park is the best value

I'd take her into town and look at Patton's, Caravan, Palm Jewelry and Coral Bay Jewelry and let her pick the one that loves the best. You will score big time with her with a hook bracelet for her birthday.

I'm so jealous of your time at Caneel. I have to wait until May. Which room are you in? Have a wonderful time.
