Not to worry - St John will still be there and you'll simply have to take Mini-Gromit there as soon as possible. A different trip, perhaps, but just as rewarding and pleasurable.

Gromit, good to hear that you and baby are doing well, even after the scare.
Listen to your Doctor and take it easy!

SO glad mini-gromit is still safe & secure within you. St. John is indeed wonderful but NOTHING compared to a mini-gromit-to-be!!
Take care. We will all (if we're here at the same time) welcome you and mini-gromit with open arms and joyful smiles once you appear after her arrival (as I'm sure you will!)

Gromit, glad you and mini gromit are OK. Get use to it, once you have kids, plans get cancelled or delayed more often than not!! They are so unpredictable, from the moment you get pregnant to lord knows when!! Hopefully in a few weeks when you and mini are "out of the woods" you can sit back and enjoy your pregnancy-the pay off in the end is so rewarding!! It's worth every second of it

mini gromit grounded me no vacation

Once again, thank you to everyone for your support and warm wishes.
It was BITTERLY cold this week and made being at home that much harder.
But Mr. Gromit and I made the best of things and really tried to enjoy ourselves. We went to movies in the middle of the day, tried new restaurants, I watched a ton of cooking shows and tried out a bunch of new recipes. I feel like Ina Garten ad Giada are now long lost sisters.
For my birthday dinner we went to The Palm and I got a FIVE POUND nova scotia lobster. Yep. That's right five pounds. The claws were bigger than my hand (and I have big hands). YUM!!
We even braved our first trip to Buy, Buy Baby and Babies R Us. We had never set foot in these places before (why would we??) so it was quite an education. We looked mostly at stollers and car seats (the choices are endlessly complicated). It was hilarious to watch Mr. Gromit wrestle with those giant plastic Graco travel system contraptions. You see, I wanted him to see those FIRST, so that when we got to see the more expensive, STREAMLINED ones then he would understand why you pay a little more to deal with a lot less hassle.
I also spent the week satisfying some pretty weird cravings: deviled eggs and fresh pineapple (don't ask I don't even know how to explain it!) Cinnabon was also a requirement. A REQUIREMENT!!
Because we had been expecting to travel our fridge was practically empty and even though we had been eating out a lot we needed to go to the grocery store. Of course this was the day our first significant snow was supposed to arrive. It was nice not to have to worry about going to work and just go to the store.
Another upside to all the baby drama has been all the great sonogram pics. After this last scare the technician took a lot of time with the images. So it was nice to have those.
Anyway, not the best trip report and certainly not the one I had expected to be writing today.
But what's most important is that I have an amazing husband who totally has my back even when things look bleak, I have a healthy baby (so far) and as far as we can tell I am fine. June soon come!
As I watched this years first snow, I have to admit that tears came to my eyes, knowing that this time next year (hopefully) mini-Gromit will be 6 months old and seeing their very first snowfall... or if mini gromit is REALLY lucky we'll all be on STJ and missing it altogether!
Hugs to everyone and happy holidays!!
