I know! Where I live, deer (and bear) cross the river and large creeks all the time but I was so surprised to see one in the ocean! Iknow they can swim (I have seen it first hand) but somehow open water crossings seem strange to me.

For answers to your questions:

Samoka - There were four bedrooms. Two pods of two beds each. The great room pod was separate. Yes, I believe the master, the second bed (in the same pod as the Master, and the photo is posted), and the Great Room are wheelchair accessible. I feel like this set up must be pretty rare on island and I commend the owners for putting an effort into making it accessible. I would email them directly for more info, as they know best. The owner is so nice, I am sure he wouldn't mind following up with you.

Caribert - Re-entry was the most painful yet. My heart started to ache the day before we left...

Marcia - Yes, the stonework is so well done, and I'd love to know who your massage was with if you can dig up that info. It sounds like what I was looking for.

PA Girl - The walk down to the beach was very easy. And was only two or three down the road. There is a beautiful stone path off of the road down to the beach. The beach is great and is a mixture of sand and pebble. There were no urchins that we could see anywhere near the entry point. Great snorkeling and apparently even better out by a reef off of the point, but we never made it out that way.

Diana2 - Yes, the two bed pods have two bedrooms. Each pods bedrooms do connect to each other (for parent/child travel), but the design is clever and allows them to be very private for couples traveling together. The villa is right above the Fish Bay side, and I think there was a path down to that side, but the few days the water was calm on that side we went to Francis. We kept meaning to ask the owner how to get down there, but never got around to it. It was pretty cool because the mouth of Fish Bay was full of surfers (on both sides) for most of our stay, and it was great to watch them catch waves from the pool. I never knew there was such good surfing there. We went down to the Ditleff beach. I think there was pretty good snorkeling on both sides though.

Ruth - Yes I think it was a Kestrel, and I am certain some kind of Falcon was out one day, but of course I didn't have the camera ready...

SOonthebeach - Yes, two of the photos were stitched (the view of Ditleff and the tower) and I am a little sad at how small they are posting! The are so pretty just a little larger so you can see the detail. It was my first attempt. If anyone knows how to resize larger, I'd love a tutorial.
