Robyn, your post probably reminds many of us on the forum who are thinking about the passing of their own mothers. The grief is so new and raw at first, but over time, it does become easier and bittersweet when you reminisce about her. I lost my mother in 2000. She died November of 2000 and had been 70 for just shy of one month. The best therapy for me during that time was to talk about her. I talked about her for 3 months whenever I felt the need. It made me feel like I had some control over what I was going through. You are right to put this out to your forum friends. I am so sorry for your loss but know, in time, it will become easier. Peace to you and your family.

Thank you so much to each of you for the outpouring of love & sympathy shown to me & my family. This forum has truly become a place where "forum friends" can reach out to others in need no matter the situation & draw strength from each other. My ultimate strength is from my faith in Jesus but you friends have shared your hearts & love & I truly appreciate your gift of friendship & support!
Have a wonderful time as you plan your next trip to STJ & cherish each moment you have together with your family & friends. Hope to meet many of you on island one day!!

Robyn,
I am so sorry to hear about your mom. I lost my mother in 1980 & I still miss her.
We will be on STJ on October 22nd, so we will not be at the next get together. Hope to see you at the BB!
God bless!
