I, too, have used http://www.igive.com/welcome/index.cfm for several years sucessfully. It is legitimate. Once you sign up, then shop, or even browse, through the igive site, your "cause" gets a donation. I did not find the ACC listed until this morning and I have now changed my "cause" to the ACC. The pennies do add up... igive donations have amounted to almost 5 millon dollars. Plus, for new sign-ups... $5 bonus donation: just make your first purchase* within 45 days of joining! That is a $5 donation to the ACC right away.

I did some grant writing, in another life, so to speak. It has been a while. The challenge is not in the writing itself, it is in finding entities that give out grants. The grant(s) would need to be tailored to the entitiy being asked for money. Some even have a very specific RFP (Request for Proposal) that identifies what needs to be included in the grant application.

If someone has time to research government agencies or foundations that give money to organizations like ACC, that would be the first step. I'm wondering if pet food companies might have foundations that can be approached for grant funds.
