I personally really dislike STJ and won't be going back, but I love this forum! There is my vote!
I have never stayed at st. Thomas, but I would love to be able to fly in and be done (no ferry). We don't like crowds and areas that feel touristy. Is there anywhere you recommend in stt that would offer that?

Probably the North End of STT would be for you, although there's not alot going on there, if that's what your like. It really is gorgeous on that end.
We always stay East End, near Red Hook because of the ferries and the restaurants/shopping that is nearby. It's nothing like Charlotte Amalie, but it's convenient.
