Thanks for posting all the pictures; looking forward to the rest of the reports :D We're heading down next month with some newbies who love to snorkel and I'm passing this on to them. They'll be so excited!

Hi Pickle~

Thank you for sharing...I love the photos and the labeling is so awesome for those of us who don't know 1 fish from another fish! Good thing I have my handy dandy chart to go by! I hope we have good luck with our new Canon D10...we have taken a few practice shots and it seems to be working well.

Looking forward to your other reports!

STJ soon! 8)

Hey Pickle- I have the Cannon D11 (bought on STJ in March) and am so excited about your gorgeous shots. I am an UW newbie as I usually take shots with my larger Nikon DSLR on land. What UW housing do you recommend for the Canon? We are going in Aug and it would be fun to take the D11 into the water and see what I get. I agree it takes some great pics- even compared to my DSLR with great lenses. I am no snorkel expert at all so I can live vicariously through your amazing shots- thanks!!

Do you mean the G11? If so, Canon makes underwater housings for many of their cameras and I'm sure they make one for the G11 also - I would just get that housing that Canon makes.

In case my D10 starts to act up, I take my other Canon and its housing to St. John as a backup. I do use that camera on land anyway while my D10 is being cleaned (soaked in fresh water). By now, I've gotten used to the ease of dealing with the D10 (no more O-rings), I prefer not going back to the housing, but that's just me. Hope my D10 will last long. It has done fine for the past two years.

I thank you everyone for your kind words!

Oops- yes, meant G11- mistakenly thought they were similar cameras. Will look into the housing for the G11- but really love your shots from the D10. Thanks!

Sigh...feel that tension easing out. Beautiful pictures - you have quite the eye (not to mention knowledge of what you are seeing). Thank you so much.
