My hopes for the 8 year old. She already thinks she knows how to snorkel (having done so for 2 years now in the pool). We'll have her in the water before we go out on the boat, but there's a HUGE difference when you accidentally inhale salt water vs pool water!

Hehe...that is the truth...my wife tried to drink a few gallons from Henley Cay last summer and it really messed up her boat day with a queasy feeling all the way to Jost.
We're taking the kids to Jost in a few weeks with Captain Han on Fly Girl. Mine are a bit older 11 and 14, but it will be their first time to snorkel off a boat....I'm sure I'll have to do some coaching on how to make that "leap".

Capt. Phil is a great sailor. He's also a very patient marine biology teacher who is fantastic with teaching kids. I'd love for him to teach my future grandbaby (due in Dec) not only to snorkel, but pass on his respect for marine life. He'll do the JVD trip for you, but I don't think it's his joy. H e really loves to sail, snorkel and teach young people.
He's also a minister who led us in renewing our vows after 31 years at the little church on the beach at JVD. A Multi-talented, great individual.
