Let me guess. This same 4 year old wants to wear shorts in the winter.

Just guessing...that's usually the way they operate....

djmom, I think this line of products will help you stop fighting your curly hair...CURLISTO, http://www.virgin-islands-on-line.com/f ... t=john+500

A met a guy down here with curly hair that always look fantastic and asked him how he possibly did that in this heat and humidity and he told me about this stuff. My son had long beautiful curls and I used the Structura lotion and Control Gel II mixed together in his wet hair. It was AMAZING. As he got older, he cut his hair short (his hair was so pretty he got mistaken for a girl a little to often for dad's comfort). I have never found another product that has come anywhere near this stuff.

My weight-
I really like food! Like, really. I'm a food porn kinda gal. And if I like what I'm eating, I have trouble with portion control :). Love new tastes, flavors, presentation etc. Dieting drives me crazy. The foods one can eat while dieting are all bland, or take too long to prepare or have weird chemicals.

Comparing myself to others-
When one does that, one always loses.

Fear of failing-
Someday I will stop fighting this and I will do a hell of a lot more stuff! And not feel gulity or scared or terrible shame and negativity if I do actually fail. I think I can, I think, I can , I think, I can... :)

Lysa-You and I are very much alike.

Julie- I just might try Curlisto, if I can get over the fact that it reminds me of Jheri-curl.

Bev-well-Bev-what can I say?

Lprof-sorry about the menieres and hope it gets better soon.

I feel guilty complaining about the little things when people are sick. Let's just call this thread "lighthearted venting". 'Cause we all know there is real suffering out there and I really feel for those of you in that category.

We ARE very much alike aren't we?! I feel the same way. That's why I try to keep things in perspective. I may have a weight problem (and my house is a mess and etc, etc) but there are young soldiers being killed, strong men falling to cancer, good mothers losing their way.

I try to enjoy the things in my life- big and small things. It could all be taken away tomorrow.

This battle to quit smoking. I started back 3 years ago after 20 years. I really enjoy it but it is consuming my life. Got a prescription for Chantix but neither primary or secondary insurance cover it. After STJ in July I am seriously doing something. I could pay $127 a month for Chantix out of pocket, but has anyone else had success with anything less expensive (aside from cold turkey?)

I quit over 3 years ago cold turkey. I'm cynical of the Chantix claims. I would strongly suggest a website to you. It was a help to me:
whyquit.com

I wish you luck!

Since we want to keep it not too serious, I'd have to say I'm not sick of anything, and grateful for everything.

Now if we want to get down and dirty....I could give you a list....!
