In a word... No. It can be a bumpy ride, you know the saying, one hand for the boat one for me. Well if someone has to hold the baby, they are short a hand. Wait till the baby is older, everyone will enjoy it more.

We always go for the whole day best day of our trips. I bring about 15ft of rope to tie to one side of the boat bring it across the boat tie a loop in it to hang about a foot under the water to help with getting in when you are moored off

I rented a center console dingy this year for the first time. I own a boat. I loved it. But, a dinghy is a dingy.. We had a larger one and were allowed to go to waterlemen and found the it was wind against tide along marys point. Dingys are dingys.... unless you want to have your wife sit in the front (balast) there is a chance if you aren't careful it will flip...(my wife lost her tan for a bit!). But I would say a small kid is doable if you pick your day. don't book ahead. watch the weather fronts. also 1/2 day is fine if you don't want to swim, Etc..... Do it
