I'm just sayin'...you would need to bring down 333 CDs to have the same amount of music as a moderately loaded iPod.

But, we do have one of those thingies that connects to the iPod and transmits over the radio.

Well, that's cool! Yeah, bringing a bunch of CDs is silly. We travel with a few fav CDS just in case IPod doesn't have playable connections. The radio isn't an option for us.
One more thing we take is pistachio nuts. We're addicted. It's our crack.

IPod docking stations in villas. I've not run into a single place that has a docking station, but then we don't stay at very expensive places unless we're on our Starwood discount. We pack our own. We have a mini one that has good quality sound. We take it everywhere.

We have a JBL speaker system that we pack. It is pretty small (it is doughnut shaped) and has a remote. Sometimes I will pack a cord that connects the earphone jack of the iPod to the RCA inputs of a stereo, so that I can connect the iPod to the villa's sound system.
Regardless, in my opinion, it beats schlepping down a ton of CDs.

Pete,
You are definitely on your music game! I want to be riding in your vehicle. That way I don't have to worry about the tunes or a DUI!

Porkroll - it's a philly thing
Anybody?
Pork roll is a Jersey thing. Next thing you know, you'll be taking credit for Springsteen, Bon Jovi, and Sinatra.
Scrapple is more a Philly thing and frankly, you can keep that stuff over there.
Have a great vacation!
Husband wants to know if you're going to be down on Island when we are. He'll make you some scrapple

If you ever feel that you are too drunk to drive on STJ, just close one eye. It works for me.

Pete (Mr. Marcia) wrote:CDs? People still use those? I have about 5,000 songs on my iPod and it is the size of a deck of cards. It's 2010 people.
The CDs are for the rental car, Pete. I'm not leaving my ipod and cardock in the rental car while I am at the beach. The ipod stays in the safe when I am not at the house and actually using it. The cds I bring for the car are burned playlists from my itunes, it works out OK for me. I can fit about 30 songs on each cdr. How much music do you need in the car anyway?
Still haven't started packing. Though I did reorganize my closet!

It's not so much an iPod Doc you should be looking for...Most houses have some type of stereo system either in the living room, or by the pool. Just hook your iPod up to that - has worked for me everytime, and sounds better than a doc!
