@catbat - now those are quality tips! We heard of the 'phantom' bus, but never saw it. Kind people always picked us up hitchhiking before the bus ever came around. I'll definitely use Connections next time for baggage, we would have saved half (although he did put them onto the ferry for us). Plus - you are right on about the rum carrying, with all our camping gear it was tough.

@ Coden - sounds like your son follows our hearts. Live music and camping are two of our favorite activities, which Saint John satisfied both.

Thanks to everyone else who took the time to read and comment on my report. Without the help of this forum before my trip I wouldn't have been as prepared - keep it up. As I plan my next vacation, I'll enjoy cold beverages from my 'Haven't I seen you on the Forum' coozie.
