I have gone in early November and it is nice then. I have been in May and June and I think I like the summer better as far as the weather goes. The water is more clear for diving and snorkeling in June.
I think that mostly anytime would be good in STJ except during a hurricane or a tropical storm. :D

I'll 15th that! Yes, weather on STJ is absolutely beautiful in November. One of my best friends from college now lives there with her husband--I just texted her a simple "weather nice in November?" and got the reply of "Unreal...are you visiting?"

Now I'm sad since I already started planning a trip to Barbados! I hope you end up going though!

We've always traveled to St. John in early November, so I have nothing to compare it to. The temps are great, restaurants are pretty much all opened back up again, and you're not fighting for space on the beaches. This past year was the only year (since we started going every year in 2006)that we encountered the swells on the North Shore. As others have noted, the beaches on the other side of the island are a nice haven.

Why we go end of Nov to mid Dec

Yo. Our usual deal is to go right after the Thanksgiving folks are leaving and leave before the Christmas folks arrive. Its the BEST. Please don't tell anyone else by the way...The rates are still low season. Been doing the trip to STJ since 1991. Water temp and vis are always pretty good as I be a diver and like to get down and blow some bubbles. We have been on island in Feb, Mar, and June also. Like the folks say...no matter what time you are there its Great....God bless....Bill
