And it was an interesting to hear live performances without an audience. I found myself waiting to hear applause. Instead there was silence. It seemed kind of eerie sometimes.
Cool – I’ll go to iTunes too. Not a fan, but Justin Timberlake is an immensely talented performer. His HBO concert a couple yrs ago was a real eye opener. He can sing almost any style.

Pairing Dave Matthews and Neil Young was brilliant. If I were a record producer, I would be pounding down their doors for them to do something else together.

I love "Hallelujah" and thought JT's rendition was great. Not a Kid Rock fan, but loved "Lean on me" with him, Sheryl Crow and Keith Urban.

I also found it interesting that there were no introductions.

My husband kept asking - who is that?

In addition to the album, you can also download the video of the telethon. The individual songs are available as well.

I just downloaded the songs.
I thought the same about the intros. Thought they could have put the names on the screen. But in thinking about it, it was purposeful to downplay the celebrity factor. It wasn't about them. They did it the same way with the 9/11 telethon.

Shakira - had no clue who she was. I think I got everyone else though.

We Shall Overcome was done by a fella named Bruce ;)
