Link in Signature

Just an observation...
But isn't the LINK in Gromit's signature a violation of the forum rules?
That's a rhetorical question BTW... I already know it is because I tried to do the same thing and Anthony called me on it.
"Let those that are without sin..."
You know the rest.

I have no link in my signature line. What are you referring to? My travel ticker? Look around EVERYONE has one.
You still have a photo ad of your business in yours. Entirely inappropriate.
I am usually the first to offer a welcome and Anthony has assured us that he's keeping a close eye on the situation so I'm good.
Once you start offering something useful I'll be the first to say mea culpa.
I guess only time will tell...

Dave: I agree.
CBD quote: The signs in-question were posted on the outside of the business - broadcasting this message to the public in high-traffic area (as opposed to an 'internal memo' type of thing).
Oh yeah, I get that, it just triggered my memory of seeing the lists on cashier registers.
In such a little community you might want do what you can to keep it friendly. They haven't treated you right, but in a small community sometimes you have to suck it up and make sure to never go there for repairs!

Looks like Coral Bay Computers is affiliated with the good folks at Donkey Diner.
I know DD has a lot of fans around here. I personally have never been (just never managed to make it there over the years).
Maybe somoene should ask them to weigh in and share their side of the story?

Would you be OK with that Coral Bay Digital?

No SJ-- be nice -- I know you don't like me personally but this isn't personal. I was simply trying to help Anthony out and to warn other folks to proceed with caution. And TRUST ME I have BETTER things to do. Turns out he is already on it.
I'm sorry I bothered. But I'll be the pinata. I'll take a hit for the team on this one.
I just don't think it's right for someone to sign up just to repost something from their personal blog and to promote their business, while trashing some one elses and then trying to trash me in the process. Folks around here know me pretty well and I call it like I see it as do you SJ.
But if you guys are completely OK with this kind of thing then hey, I'm game. Have at it.
But in the interest of fairness I would just like to hear the other side of the story -- surely our new friend from CBD wouldn't have a problem with that. After all he was the one who brought this issue to the sandbox.

Gromit, look back at your post. Is it possible for you to see that you were a little harsh? This is not personal for me--but maybe you should be aware of how harsh it seems.

Gina -- I see your point. Perhaps I could have been more polite.
OK how's this instead?
Dear CBD,
Wow, that was quite an experience! Welcome to the forum I hope that in addition to this first post of a slightly negative nature you will provide many more posts about what it's like to visit one of our favorite places in the world: STJ!
Is that better?

Sorry if I was mistaken about the link Gromit.
I don't know what a "travel ticker" is yet.

You bet!
I'd love to hear their take on it.
One thing though:
Donkey Diner and Coral Bay Computer are
no-longer affiliated. They used to be one-in-the-same, but the owners of DD sold the business and moved the computer-repair shop over to the Cocolobo complex.
I don't even think the new owners
know about that CBC page on their website.
