What a great day Janet. Wonderful pictures.
This will be a perfect day for me and my husband to do in April. Just copy paste, including the falling asleep part

Really nice report so far! Thanks for sharing. I'll be interested to read your take on Grande Bay.

Thanks for reading.
Like I said, I don't know why I had to do Ram Head. Our prior attempts at "hiking" on St. John had not gone well.
Our first attempt at the Leinster Bay trail(circa 2000) to Waterlemon (which is as easy as it gets), Don blew out his flip-flop (and of course there was a woman to blame).
On the next trip (2003) we attempted the Lind Point trail from Estate Lindholm - after it rained; well, I slid down most of it on my butt.
I was hoping to find one of those "I survived the Ram Head Trail" t-shirts.
Maggy/sea-nile - you would both love Ram Head. If I can do it, it will be a piece of cake for you.
Loria - it may have been Maho Mary; she did mention working at Maho during a hurricane.
Tipsy - sounds like you have a great plan
I'll try to get the Grande Bay/Cruz Bay parts done this week. Overall, we liked Grande Bay. The unit was very nice (Brenda we ended up in another 1BR unit; not the PH). The only drawback is lack of nice "outdoor" space; the balcony was small and high. We did have an upper outdoor penthouse that we could have used, but didn't. They were still working on the pool last week; we never got over to see it. And central A/C was nice.

Janet, Im thirsty, hungry and sleeepy after reading your wonderful description of the hike. What a great day you had! Those drinks at the tourist trap look really good. The nap by the pool, perfection!

Just read your report again. I couldn't remember where I saw the picture of nachos that inspired me to get them at The Tourist Trap. Those things were the best!! Everyone at our table tried mine but there were plenty

. I did not pick up on the celery, I just figured it was mild green peppers. Who knew? Great stuff, definitely a must stop even if it is out of the way a bit.
