You crack me up, SJ. You must be a tortured Mets fan right now...
BTW...I still love me some Pedro Martinez. He may or may not get shelled tonight, but yes, I have a man crush on the greatest pitcher of this generation.

Did I just disparage an entire fan base? You betcha I did.
Don't worry, Yankee fans...we have AJ Burnett tonight.
Oh crapola
Where the F did Bev take you???? I am far from a toothless ingrate. Sounds like you are just jealous.

Doesn't apply here. Pedro pitched a nice game, and never should've been sent out for the 7th inning (once again, I think Grady Little took over Charlie's brain for a minute).
Pedro might be my favorite athlete of all-time. And he did not disappoint last night.

Doesn't matter that it didn't apply; Pedro will never escape his "Daddy" with Yankee fans.
I also thought it was a Grady Little moment.
Lysa - ditto! But I wish I didn't care
Frillies - let's bring the bat's next time.
And when will A-rod come out to play?

So true...A few of us were discussing the game over on FB, and a Yankee friend of mine comes over after Pedro left the game and said "Pedro sucks, and I can hit his weak Sh!t". I said, "Really? You can but ARoid could not?".
Before the game yesterday, Pedro said to reporters that he was "the most influential player ever to play at Yankee Stadium". One of the NY reporters tried to clarify the statement, asking Pedro "You mean, VISITING players?"...To which Pedro replied, "No.".
Love him.

Game started as we took off from PHL.
Pilot woke me up to announce 1-0 Phils
Got in the car in the top of thee 4th
Got good enough reception on WCBS 880 to hear "Yiiit is High. Yiiiit is far. Yiiiiiit is Gooooooooooooooooooooooone"
Saw Matsui's home run as I stepped out of the shower
Wonderd aloud when Grady Little took over managing the Phillies.
Pedro was good last night. 3 batters too many though...
Burnett more or less shocked me.

Yes, yes, and yes.
If the Yanks get the same effort and results out of Pettitte tomorrow night that the Phils got out of Pedro last night, their fans will be ecstatic. But because his name is Pedro, he stinks.

I happen to love Pedro. Even as a big Yankees fan, I love anyone who's willing to come in, both middle fingers in the air and then do his thing.
Grady should not have sent him out for the 7th. Says something about the confidence he has in the pen.
If Andy gives the Yankees that performance in game 3, I'm going to be happy. Because, unless 2008 Hamels arrives, we could be looking at 2-1 with the Starter to be named later for game 4 and then a game 1 rematch in 5.
