Very Funny! At least I know if needed, I have a St. John support group right here in my little home office! It's so true though, I talk about you all and the adventures on this board to those who "don't get it" and they just look at me like I'm some sort of weirdo! Oh Well!

This is too funny, Bilter! I was actually thinking about that while driving on the expressway yesterday!
I haven't been around here for very long, but I'll add my own...
When you try to explain to the TUSA rep at a scuba show that you heard about his company's travel fins from someone you "know" from the VI Travel Forum (Thanks, Coden!)

When I tell my employees that a friend is coming to visit and they patiently ask:
"Is this a friend who you've actually met already?"

... when you hesitate to make any USVI vacation related decision without getting the "expert" advice from your "forum family"!
... when it is late, late at night & you are on your way to bed - - - but, just have to go on-line one more time! Just to be sure you haven't missed anything.
... when one of your forum family "chases down a deadly shark" and you spend time scouring the internet to identify "said lemon shark"!
... when you email your spouse - more days than not - from work - with the preceding intro "just read this on the forum ....."

All of the above. We're all pretty weird in this digital world. For me, it's pretty bizarre that I sound off about the destruction and carpetbagging of a place where I'm "only a tourist" and 99% of the other folks reading my rants feel at least a little understanding of my frustration. And they understand the my childlike fascination of the magic of STJ.

When you post something on a thread just 'cause you want your forum friends to know you are reading the post and care...
(like this one, from me!)
also:
~ when you are depressed that you don't have time at work to look at the board
~ when you are reading the board and the kids come in to ask you a question and you get all short with them 'cause you are reading a trip report
~ when you feel guilty for not posting a trip report 'cause you were too busy with work when you got back home
~ when the cable goes out and you can't read the board (that happened last night!)
~when the cable goes out the night before and you are stressed cause there is so much to catch up on and read before going to work (where you have no time to read the boards....grrrrrrrrrr!)

OK so I am addicted! Everyone knows that if I am on the computer I am probably on this forum and if not I will be before I get off. My stepdaughter is so tired of hearing about St John she doesn't want to hear it anymore. Obviously she hasn't been there! LOL!

When you communicate with your wife through the board, even though she is sitting right across from you. Hi Marcia.
