I had an urge to go hiking once, but wisely took a nap until that urge went away. (apologies to Winston Churchill)

Capt, you saw the condition I was in after I hiked to honeymoon after a Woody's shutdown night. I'm just firming up the MB's. How could I ever get rid of those babies.

Note to self....Ramhead, Salt pond.....

Weren't you drinking "takillya" the night before Honeymoon Beach at Woody's  ? I do know it was some liquor  . If you just want an easy hike from Salt Pond, go to Drunk Bay. Cool place and only about 1/4 mile easy trek. No swimming there though but you can make your own coral person.

That walk back up from Salt Pond does kind of suck but it could surely be worse. Just don't lug much crap with you.

Perhaps I can discourage her a little - we hiked the bordeaux mountain trail. I ended up with heat exhaustion!

I think the most strenuous hike I'll do anymore is the one to Brown Bay, and I love hiking.

Brown Bay - about 1 mile, up then down. Beautiful beach and ruins at the far end of the beach. Bring snorkel gear.

Lameshur Bay Trail - leave from Little Lameshur for a hike up (500' elevation) and down. This is the easy way to see the Reef Bay Great House and Par Force ruins, petroglyphs, and Reef Bay ruins. This is a longer hike - there and back - but not as long or steep as Reef Bay Trail. Bring the beach stuff in the jeep so when you get back you can lounge on the prettiest beach on STJ...leave the beer cooler in the Jeep.

Before you hike ANYWHERE get the Trail Bandit map. http://www.trailbandit.org
