They got the tape off by sedating the cat and a vet and techs cut the tape off. It took about an hour, but seriously, the cat was just fine!

Now, onto the award of a $1,000. Would help if maybe Vick would put his money where his mouth was and make the reward more attractive :D

I'm surprised it took so long to mention Micheal Vick.

Another update!

They have officially named the cat. They named her "Sticky". :D

It's nice to have a good end to a story but the best end will be when she's adopted and put into the best home that she can have.

what was so sad to me is that it looks like it is the sweetest kitty ever- wasn't even complaining.

unlike my cat who will literally attack your ankles when her food bowl is empty!

I couldn't look, but like others.......my pets are my children! People that abuse helpless animals will find their own special room in Hell.

Thank you Connie for reporting that kitty was okay, is okay, and will hopefully find a home. PLEASE keep us posted!

I didn't/couldn't view the original post either but get the idea. As the proud "keeper" of 2 rescued greyhounds, I firmly believe that they know they are in a better place than the life they had before and show me every day. I hope for the best for the kitty! Sounds like she is destined for a special home!

Cid, I would hope they gave the kitty a little sedation or anesthesia before they took that off! It makes me sick what people do to innocent animals and other people for that matter. One of my husband's co-workers had his home broken into very recently and his cat was killed. The burgler put the cat in the washing machine and turned it on. He was caught by police and said that the cat was rubbing up against him and bothering him while he was robbing the place. It made the local news. THAT is one sick individual and I hope he pays dearly for it. It makes me sick just thinking about it. It was a fairly young kitten, looked to be under a year old. I just don't understand it. How about something simple like putting it in the bathroom and shutting the door?

I am teary just writing this. Think I had better go give my cats a big hug!

Oops  . Should have read the second page of posts before I commented about the sedation. Anyway, glad "Sticky" got some for the procedure!

Connie: so nice to hear your real person reports!
Brenda: Do something nice for the folks who had their home burglarized. That's a horrible, horrible thing to have happen, and to lose their kitty to a monster like that....I can't imagine!

I have noticed on the PHL news this morning that man has turned himself in for the duct tape episode. I wonder how severe his punishment will be? The cat looks absolutely adorable!

This is another update on the story. Yes, somebody has come forward.

On another note. I was up Cape Cod this past weekend, came home and my daughter finds a cat that looks just like Sticky. Presently making up flyers to put around the neighborhood....this is definetly an amazing cat and someone must be missing him. We've named him Bowie so far because he has two different color eyes like David Bowie.

Hope the guy who did this to Sticky gets everything and more that he deserves.
