Have a great trip!
Orlando in August is beautiful.
Where are you staying, SJ?
We did Disney back in May, and I really don't need to go back for another five years or so. Love the place, but man the crowds are just insane. STJ for two weeks for us next July!

I rented the studio from Bob and Marlene in Oct. for a couple of days by myself before the grannies arrived...What a cool spot and what great people!..I think that was quite possibly one of the best times I spent on the rock.. '8)' You guys will love it.. It's a great location! (Yeah, I heard about that obsessive neighbor also) Just throw her a painkiller! Enjoy the sunsets and tell them I said "Hey"

Rick- if I'm not mistaken, I think you can go to the BVIs by boat from STJ without a passport - something to look into...

That chicken-obsessed neighbor sounds a liitle weird though.
See you in Frank Bay!

Ruth, hope you don't come across her...She'll be wearing a huge chicken hat so you can't miss her...

Lucky you to go back so soon! How much farther of a walk is it to Star Villas from Gallow's Point?

Thanks Gang, we're very pleased. We are also very spoiled.
shopper, Halloween is when I want to go. Big Red and Becky want to go the first week of December. We'll see what happens.
LandLockedBeachLover, Sunday Beach Bar 8/9? Of course. It's a walk from our place. I'll wear a forum shirt.
SJfromNJ, Disney is my own personal heart of darkness. I recommend very strong central nervous system depressants.
papabou, I'll PM you my mobile #.
Brenda, the unit we rented is past Gallows a couple of hundred feet on Frank Bay. I hear its an easy commute.
See ya on the island.
Cheers, RickG

Rick - Sounds like a deal for Sunday 8/9 at the Beach Bar. I will bring my forum "coozie", my hubby and 2 friends (VI newbie's). We will be taking the ferry over for the day trying to hike & then snorkel Waterlemon and hopefully Maho that day - - so it might be a little later (closer to 5-6 pm)! It's also the day before my big 4-0 BVI birthday bash, so I'm sure the group will be in "rare form". Sorry in advance.
Two weeks away. Unreal.

Rick: If you have a day to kill before you leave, go down to the Passport Office on 19th St. You have to make an appointment two weeks out from your trip. Although, when I called to make my appointment, the first available was 5 days out. Anyway, the office is awful and crowded with cranky people and guards with guns but I got my passport and we hand a fabulous, fantastic day on Jost.

SJfromNJ, 5 1/2 years is the point where the spawn can really start enjoying the snorkeling. I started my oldest with just fins, then added the mash. The snorkel came last and took a bit of teaching. My youngest daughter saw big sister doing it and never needed any instruction.
Jay & Deb, let me know if you want to come over early and hit the beach. We are a walk to the Beach Bar and I hear we got running water.
LandLockedBeachLover, I promise you won't scare us.
Wolfhound, thanks for the tip. I've had to take employees down there for last emergency passports when things got exciting in Eastern Europe, Panama, Yugoslavia, Kuwait, Somalia.... I'm glad I'm out of that business. Christine and I are no problem for passport renewals. My 17 year old is somewhat unreasonable, with notarized documents and a face to face required. The 12 year old daughter's passport renewal requires both (divorced) parents, notarized documents and a face to face. We put off the renewals until the last week of August when we'd have time, since we weren't going anywhere!
Cheers, RickG
