Update!

I have left the Alexa Tool Bar in place for now one week...
I guess that I am not too paranoid...just naive...maybe stupid.

Anyhow, I have not detected any adverse results...no increase of spam in my emails...no pop-ups...no spyware warnings. I am using a Mac and Firefox.

I can't say that I find the tool bar especially useful; seeing the ratings on the different sites is a little interesting...
google is #1!

So Anthony, I'll be leaving it installed unless I hear from you that I should do differently. Hope this aids VIOL.

Thanks - I don't think there is anything wrong with using it. I have it installed - it's just that some virus softare may read it as something that "tracks" you (and some individuals don't like that either - evern if the tracking is anonymous). But if Alexa as a company did anything like spam or installing other viruses, etc. on a users computer, they wouldn't be around for long.

I think a couple of people installed it and I do think it is making a difference in the site's rank already.
