Bacon-wrapped chicken...YUM! Recipe?

Love your report...I agree that 14+ days on STJ is the way to go.

I hope you guys find the keys and get some rash guards to combat the sunburn.

Pia, they were tourists. It looked like they might have done it by pulling into (or out of?) a parking spot surrounded by trees--like at Maho. The top of the tree was all jammed into the tire! It was one of those really tall skinny trees with the buds on it that turn yellow and then the tree dies--I forget what they are called. Agave maybe? Anyway, it was really odd.

Sun, we did have rash guards. Unfortunately, they were short sleeved, so our lower arms and backs of our legs got burned. I had a long sleeved one with me too, which I switched to for a couple of days. John also got burned on his forehead.

Love your reports. Nice pictures. Did you get your new camera figured out before you left?

We went to Miss Lucys that same Monday. We even sat down and thought we had the place to ourselves! We soon learned they were closed on Mondays (but did we bother to read the sign as we pulled in?)! Another carload of people stopped as we were leaving, so we told them they were closed and we all ended up at Shipwreck Landing.

I have the shrimp recipe printed and ready to try! Thanks for sharing.

Forehead burn- Oh NO! :( Hope this didn't put a damper on your fun!

On the last vacation my newbie friends laughed at my snorkeling 'uniform' (as they called it). But with a buff on my head (thanks Gromit), rash guard, and swim trunks I was happy to be safe from the evil rays. I looked funny, but I was never red! 8)

Good start. I really like how peaceful that morning Maho photo looks.

Only John got his forehead burned. I wear a buff when I snorkle too. My outfit for long snorkles is incredibly embarassing--buff, long sleeved knee length rash guard, and boogie shorts that come to mid calf. Did I mention that the buff is gray, the shorts are pink, and the rash guard is bright green? John actually took a picture of this very special outfit, but I am not posting it!!
