Flip-Flop, it not men vs. women, it's Moms vs. everyone else! Traveling with youngsters is work.

Yeah, that's how Dad's do it to. "Why are you always the last one ready? BECAUSE I HAD TO PACK ALL OF YOUR CRAP!!!"
BTW, right after that conversation my oldest took her bathing suit out of her bag to make certain I had packed the right one. She never put it back in the bag. Low Key had her size.

In fairness, I am constantly looking at my hubby and saying "you need to fit this in your bag" and handing him stuff.
He'll be lucky if he has ANY room for clothing.

I do 100% of the planning, reserving & packing. Hubby works his a$$ off to pay the bill!
. . . and after 22 years of marriage and 7 trips to STJ, I throw the bare minimum in 2 carry on bags and go! Whatever we missed, we'll get when we get there~

Our experiences are pretty typical - I plan, book, obsess, etc. He packs the electronics and snorkel gear. We ALWAYS do carry-on.
He also ALWAYS gets a haircut before ANY trip. I laughed at that comment from previous posters, I had no idea other guys do that.
He always insists on taking along several pairs of SOCKS - he only wears sandals or water shoes on island - I tell him repeatedly - "do NOT pack socks - you'll be wearing some on travel day - I'll do laundry - you can wear them on the way home." I cannot win this battle - is it a security thing? He NEVER uses those darn socks! Sometimes he even wears his sandals home.
I know we'll have this sock discussion again in November.
