Thank you, Ruth, for asking. I was wondering the same thing.

I have always been cat but was more of a lurker on the aol site. I guess since I have been now I feel I have more to contribute. I do like the positive attitude on this one much better though! Lots of really great people.

I do hope I am responding to the correct post ... this new format is a bit perplexing to me since I've been away from the 'puter so long ...
Yes, Ruth, guilty as charged!
It's good to see everyone again ...
Another from the old AOL forum

Hi all. I was on AOL many years ago as "GoGlobalX7" and also as "Steff" and maybe "Steffannni".
Karen, are you the Karen who used to have the little palm tree on your signature on the AOL board? The same Karen who didn't recommend a certain STT restaurant because they had dusty potted plants? LOL
If so, it is SOOO good to "see" you again. I had been asking Marie if she knew where you had gone.
Lovely how so many from the old gang are here now - still enjoying the islands!

hummmm ...
yup, that's me ... thepalmtreelady ... abbreviated it became PTL (and figured that might not be such a good thing and typing out the whole name was much too long so my return deserved a "new" screen name!)
Been quite busy for the last few years with very little traveling and just getting back to it with a trip planned to Virgin Gorda in March (10 - 19). As I used to carp about the traveling babies with all the drawbacks (especially if they were crying in the next room) I am happy to announce that my new g'baby (she's just 6- months-old) will begin her Caribbean training with me - in a villa, no less! Should be interesting.
I will be overnighting it on STT going and coming ...
I will plead not-guilty to accusing Craig and Sally of not dusting their plants tho ... that was Poohwear (Debbie) who is enjoying the island sun and fun as we speak! Only ate there once, wasn't too excited about it tho for the $$$ and I much prefer outdoors!

I'm not from the old AOL board, but I just wanted to say "Hi" to Bluwater! You haven't been on this board for a while, good to see you back!

Hi CG. Thanks for the welcome back. I haven't been on any of the VI travel boards too much lately...my career has a way of getting into the way of my vacation talk!

But, since I've gotta PAY to PLAY (in the sand), I have to make the money somehow, right?
Karen, I DO rememebr Debbie. So, I had the right board, wrong poster. If my memory is half working after all these painkillers and rum punches and my head being baked in Caribbean sun, I'm good!
Feeling awfully nostalgic this evening! Glad you're here, Karen!

Karen,
We all inquired of you at the last gathering we had at Indigo on St. Thomas. Welcome!!
Marie is here now. I've seen her a few times, including yesterday at Skinny's, briefly, and this morning as she was running through the park on her way to church. She will be delighted to hear that you have joined us.

Hi Ruth et al,
I tried the "pm" thingy to Marie but not so sure she'll check it (or even if it worked!) ... wondering how long she'd be around especially since they often head to the BVI! Guess my count-down clock is just sticking and realized I have about a month to go before wheels up but with the temp hitting the minuses, I'm sorely tempted to see if I can score another ff ticket NOW for NOW!
But in the meantime, do you have to register for each board? I tried Anguilla and the BVI's but couldn't get on and couldn't register either ... There has to be a carribean-on-line for dummies somewhere but I sure can't find it and hate to nag Anthony!
BTW, there is now a restaurant here that somehow has escaped the scruitiny of Rosewood and calls itself Caneel Bay and reading the review, it seems that they tend toward the Caribb fare too! Will have to check it out ... the newspaper article really peaked my interest! Maybe I'll just have to settle for that until wheels up.
