Marybeth,

Knowing how efficent you are I hesitate to post. Did you call SJ Rental. Maybe if you explain the issue they will let two drivers pick up the cars. If you give them all the doc's ie liecenses, maybe after the cars are collected the rental place will let you swing by and have the other two sign the paperwork.

I wouldn't leave the 16 year old... but I admit I don't have the best attitude about the activities of female teenagers

Texasmermaid- my husband's nickname is 'divesherpa' because he often carries and loads up our dive gear. He is my super-sweetie-divesherpa! Most people don't get the reference to Tibetan sherpas though

I was going to reference the divesherpa but people may of thought I was losing it. My wife just got certified last year and my friend who owns the dive shop and I thought that my wife should be my divesherpa and carry my gear...didn't happen !

We always just bring the other drivers back the next day when we are in town to sign the paperwork. However, the one time we traveled with kids, we got them sodas and left the 16 yo and 10 yo with the luggage and all was fine!

The 16 year old will be just fine on her own - perfectly safe - unless she would be off to look at jewelery and forget she is on luggage patrol :)

HA .. very possible! Not sure jewelery would lure her away but something else could!

Calling the villa greeter today and maybe she can help up out otherwise maybe that "returning later" on the car rental thing will work. It will be all good in our hood .. no worries! Thanks for the help!
