Kristi - This is the way the Universe works. You both need time together alone in a magical place to re-align your priorities, think and plan. Going to STJ will clear the cobwebs out of your brains and allow you to think clearly and calmly. You mother is an astute woman to realize that and give you the help you need to attain it. The fact that everything is working in your favor is a sign, right?

Best of luck to you both.
P.S. I will also be losing my job Sept. 1st, but I already have a couple of irons in the fire, so no worries here for now.

Kristi - not unlike many folks, we too have faced the shock and fear of losing a job... My husband had lost 2 jobs in 29 years and needless to say, he found a new ones each time... Looking back on those two times, I wish I had known & realized then, what I later learned & realized: he would eventually find new employment - and I should have enjoyed my life & family more, rather than often being consumed & paralyzed by fear & worry...
I'm so happy you are able to go on your trip - your mom sounds like my mom - a very smart & loving woman, indeed!!! So go and enjoy!!!!! Things will work out!!!

That's so great that your Mom did that for you. Mom's do know what to do in times of stress.
I wish you the best and enjoy your vacation!

Wow, Kristi, you are a Real Gardengal!!! Enjoy your vacation and I think it's better to mentally take a vacation where you'll get $4100 out of your villa rather than take the hit for losing it plus your job that is an obvious passion for you. Again, your garden/yard is the most stunning I've ever seen. Perhaps a freelance type of employment is right for you in that line of work.
