Ah, the green flash. I saw my first and only at my very first Florida gulf-coast sunset. Someone told me about them and then I saw one a few minutes later. Didn't appreciate it at the time.

Hundreds of sunsets later and I haven't seen another. My wife has yet to see one. I think she believes my sighting was alcohol related :)

Maybe this is the trip where she sees her own.

Thanks Linwood for a great report; I have enjoyed it thoroughly!
Though we live in a “sleepy” little town on the beautiful Oregon Coast, and maintain a fairly easy-going life style, “life” does “throw” us a “curve” now and then (as it does everyone). We feel it’s SO important to occasionally put our daily routine aside and get away from “it all” – to regroup and re-energize - to re-discover our inner serenity, our deep appreciation and love for each other, and all the blessings our good Lord has bestowed upon us. Here, we have done all that – and then some!
This sentiment is EXACTLY why my hubby and I return to St John!

Lido Key, Florida was always good enough to cure our curve-ball injuries. This year requires a "Recovery Tour" to St. John.
Looking so forward to it!

Thanks for taking the time to write such a lovely trip report. You have a delightful writing style. Such a trek to get to the Caribbean for you! I won't ever complain about getting to the islands late in the day again (on the same day we left).

Linward you put a great report together NICE JOB! :D Wish my honey would just let me grill every night. I love to grill out and enjoy the views at the villa and I can eat in my bathing suit 8) No restraunt can match that as far as I'm concerned. I even do the dishes

I enjoyed all of the installments of your report. Beautiful pictures too! I'm surprised that you haven't turned into two ears of corn though  :P . That must have been one big bag!
