Great suggestions, everybody!!!

One more....

Did you give your child Benedryl on the airplane? All of my friends recommend making her a little drowzy so she'll nap. Benedryl also has the added benefit of helping to combat ear squeeze when the pressure changes in the cabin (opens ear passages). Did you "sedate" your child on the plane?

I am just warning you about the Benadryl. The sedation effect does not work on all kids. Both of mine actually seemed to get wired on it though I know for others it works great. I never tried it on a plane because of previous experience but you might want to check how it affects your toddler before the trip.
