Pianogirl - We were skeptical at first.

The camera mask is what we used for all of our underwater photos, and those that I've posted haven't been Photoshopped.

I thought it did a great job, but I'm not a photographer. We also got some fun video of Spotted Eagle Rays. It's nice to have both options available to you.

We did go to Royal Caribbean at Mongoose Junction for a Micro SD card, which increased our photo storage from roughly 25/30 to 1700.

You can't preview what you've taken and you can't edit them on the mask. We had to do that on the laptop when we got back to the house.

You may want to practice a bit, there are crosshairs but most things appear to be slighly above where you're looking, if that makes sense.

On the last day our son got 39 pictures at Vie's beach - including a nurse shark video. Every single fish was outside of the picture - meaning the mask wasn't high enough on his face or he wasn't adjusted properly.

I would say that unless you're a photographer who wants high quality, it's perfect for capturing vacation memories.

Thank you so much for your input. I think I had better practice with a few shots before using it though. I was actually surprised at how comfortable the mask felt & fit. My hubby got us the Micro SD card so hopefully lots of great underwater shots are in our future!

I have to ask: how was the trail to Windy Hill Ruins? We did that in Jan. '08 and it was really over grown with big thorny stuff. I was amazed by your shot of the top of the ruins and had to show my hubby. He was impressed too with how cleaned up it is. We got a couple shots from up there, but had to hold the camera high above and between the greenery.

Here's how it looked from the stairs when we were there, and beyond that it was almost solid green. I would love if it were cleaned up, because the views from there are amazing and I'd like to go back (without donating a pint or so of blood to the plants!)


Chicagoans - That's quite interesting! It was cleared when we were there. There was nothing on the stairs or the ruins (minimal growth).
