Times are changing and nothing will ever be like it was. Personally, I think the world of the internet changed us all forever and there is no going back. Okay, I'm dating myself.
We almost booked the hotel that the Nixon's hosted parties at in Santa Barbara for our vacation in a few weeks. Unfortunately, it looked a bit dated.
And the hotel that Charlie Chaplin owned is out of our price range. Go figure!!!!

Terry, have you tried Fess Parker's. Last I heard it was pretty nice. I see now that it's a Doubletree. http://www.fpdtr.com/index1.html
