Ruth,
Yes, that's my youngest son. That's funny you say Ben Chill, as we met yesterday on the car barge. His wife backed my car up for me since I had no clue what was goin on!!

Any on island reports on the STJ N shore??? - Here on STT -windy and the Nside is churned up, with white water on all the points and the Hull Bay fleet pulled a lot of boats up or out.
the buoy 41043 reached over 12' this morning - and that is over 100 NM away.

I'll try to go check it out as soon as I can get my lazy self out of bed. The roaring wind kept me up most of the night.

Hey Joshie or exit zero, can you post that website address again?
Over here on the East End its been really windy and intermittent downpours...planning to head to the north shore to check it out in a bit...havn't had any real beach time yet - too much vila gravity and weather watching!

I find the easiest way to access the buoy data and tons of local weather info is from:
www.weathercarib.com
the buoy there is listed at 21N - 65W
The National Data buoy Center website is:
www.ndbc.noaa.gov - use buoy 41043
Since I generally am out on the water daily I watch the weather very often on the 1st site.
Wow - I am obviously a very slow typist [added]

Period of 12.1! Wooo hooo, as soon as the wind backs around you'll have a great clean-up session. Grab the short board. Leave the log at home.
Exit Zero - Caret Bay will be goin' off!

I was considering the CA ferry tomorrow. May opt for Red Hook now.
